Below is my motto and words to live by. I was truly drawn to this passage. Now I must apply it and live it. </div>

<span style="font-size: small;">Throughout
the Bible, we have examples of how God suddenly showed Himself strong
on behalf of His people. But sometimes when we’ve struggled in an area
for a long time, it’s easy to just give up and accept things the way
they are. One of the enemy’s favorite lies is to tell you that nothing
is ever going to change. He’ll tell you that you’re never going to get
well, that your marriage isn’t going to work out, that you’re never
going to break that addiction. But I want to tell you today, it doesn’t
matter how long you’ve been in those circumstances, God can change
things in an instant! In a split second of time, He can turn it all
around. One touch of God’s power can heal your body. One touch of His
favor can promote you. One touch of His
goodness can solve that problem. Just one touch from Almighty God can
instantly change your life.</span></div>
<div align="center" class="yiv1316029758wordp" id="yui_3_2_0_7_1339764678019575" style="margin-bottom: 15px; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;">I
encourage you today, keep believing, keep standing, and keep hoping.
Don’t let the enemy drag your thoughts down because God is working
behind the scenes. Your time is coming, and I declare that your
breakthrough is going to happen suddenly — in an instant!</span></div>

I did pure cardio (bike, treadmill, and elliptical). I also worked on arms and back. Lifted 10 lbs weights, so my arms were like noodles. 200 crunches completed. I'm on my way!!!!!<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-7dHKeB7snnY/T8ieDgwrufI/AAAAAAAAAOs/d3vgYq50bVQ/s640/blogger-image-423477250.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-7dHKeB7snnY/T8ieDgwrufI/AAAAAAAAAOs/d3vgYq50bVQ/s640/blogger-image-423477250.jpg" /></a></div>Tellyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00698778418906077481noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2639697659503825351.post-70125489469344465512012-05-28T20:01:00.001-07:002012-05-28T20:01:37.982-07:00I'm Still Here..........<span style="color: #cc0000;">It's been a while since I last blogged, but a really good friend of mine has truly inspired me to start blogging again (Mrs. C. Daniel). Things are going well for the Jones' in Lafayette. We're coming up on a year of recruiting and enjoying every moment. School is AWESOME. I have maintained a 3.99 GPA thus far and I'm so grateful. My last two classes were pretty stressful but I finished with two A's. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #cc0000;">**My baby sis was here this weekend and I truly enjoyed her being here. We were able to relax, shop, and enjoy one another.** </span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #cc0000;">Well, it's getting late. I PROMISE to update my blog more often. It's time to MAKE time for the things that I LOVE to do. ;-) </span><br />

Day 2 is complete! Feeling great. I tried a new pair of running shoes today and I need to break those in really fast. I jogged for one miles (intervals) and walked for a total of 10 minutes. I got on the stationary bike for 6 miles. My thighs are burning. Today I start my food journal as well. Pictures and updates to come. Have a great day!!!!<br />

It's gel for your acrylic or gel based nails. It leaves your nails very shiny and durable. This method saves so much money vs going to nail places that act stingy with their gel lol. If you are into doing your nails at home this is the best & cheapest route to take. Enjoy!!!!!<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Not My Phone</td></tr>
</tbody></table><div style="color: #e69138; text-align: center;">Okay, so on Wednesday, I was getting ready to workout. I got my stuff out of my car and in the middle of grabbing my bag my phone fell face down. Not thinking anything of it, I picked it up and plugged in my earphones. After a successful workout, I received a phone call and that's when I noticed my phone looked like the above Iphone. I was wondering my it felt like that against my ear. When I looked at my phone, low and behold the screen was BUSTED!</div><div style="color: #e69138; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: #e69138; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JcNtGc7gElQ/TutrcErU2XI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/BnF3pDM_uHM/s1600/fedex.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JcNtGc7gElQ/TutrcErU2XI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/BnF3pDM_uHM/s1600/fedex.jpg" /></a></div><div style="color: #e69138; text-align: center;">After speaking with Sprint, they were able to overnight another Motorola Photon to me. However, due to weather conditions, my shipment was delayed until today (Friday). FedEx was generous enough to let me know why I haven't received my replacement. Sprint also called to follow up as well. So as of today my phone should arrive my 3pm. With that being said, I have invested in an OtterBox case. </div><div style="color: #e69138; text-align: center;"><br />

<ul style="color: black; text-align: center;"><li><b>PH123-Principles of Digital Photography and </b></li>
<li><b>FND115-Color Theory for Web and Multimedia. </b></li>
</ul><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: red;">I've received emails from my teachers and they seem pretty great to work with. I have created a schedule for myself for both personal, home, and school. I plan to stick with it to ensure I complete my daily tasks and not get distracted by the tv, phone, FaceBook, etc. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I just completed ENG1010 (English Composition I) and G150PH (Intro to Graphic Design) and before finals I had an A average in both classes. My academic advisor went over my Degree Progress Audit and she feels I'm on the right track and have my schedule planned out really well. So I am pretty excited about that. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: red;">With my next two classes, if I am able to, I plan to share my work on my blog. A few of my classmates suggested it. So be on the lookout for my work. Well, it's time for me to log in and see what my next classes have in store for me.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: red;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: red;">Blessings</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: red;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: red;">~CMJ~</span></div>Tellyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00698778418906077481noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2639697659503825351.post-85811386162680994272011-12-12T07:49:00.000-08:002011-12-12T07:49:43.321-08:00<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CuWJ1G_DbWM/TuYh-sp6H8I/AAAAAAAAALg/ZtnzvpV-6EY/s1600/images-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CuWJ1G_DbWM/TuYh-sp6H8I/AAAAAAAAALg/ZtnzvpV-6EY/s1600/images-2.jpg" /></a></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #674ea7; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #990000; font-size: large;">Thomas and I have our gym memberships with SNAP fitness and we LOVE the facility. It's about 2 minutes from the house and it's open 24/7. So if I want to go early or late, I have the pleasure of doing so. Saturday I was on the treadmill (jogging) and noticed this gym has Directv!!!! I had to slow down and ensure I was seeing this right LOL. Yep, it was! So I was not focused on my workout. The tv really distracted me. ;-)</span></div><div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #990000; font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #990000; font-size: large;">The facility is so nice and well kept. It's located in a lovely area and it's well lite at night time. They also have things to purchase like tshirts, bags, water bottles, health snacks and drinks, etc. I plan to purchase the white and red SNAP Fitness shirts to enhance my workout wardrobe. ;-)</span></div><div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #990000; font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #990000; font-size: large;">I going this evening after I finish my daily routine today. I think I'm going to go in the evenings on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. That way once I am done, I can shower and hit the bed. ;-) After weight training on Saturday, I'm starting to feel it. But it's a "good" hurt. ;-) I was truly impressed with my will of doing push ups. I was screaming, but I went hard! ;-)</span></div><div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #990000; font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #990000; font-size: large;">Well, let me officially get my day started. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: blue;">Today was AWESOME. Thomas and I visited a new church, St. James Baptist Church, and it was wonderful. We caught a little of Sunday School and it took me back to our church growing up. The pastor and 1st lady are two loving people. We felt very welcome and right at home. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: blue;">The music department is on point! The keyboardist knew all of the "churchin'" song. For example: "Jesus, Oh How I Love Calling Your Name" I know we will definitely go again. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: blue;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: blue;">After church, hubby and I ate dinner, played with TJ (our Yorkie-puppy), and all three of us took a nap. I mean the dog slept longer than we did. LOL Then on the Sunday football. Today was a pretty relaxing day. I start two new classes tomorrow and so ready to get started. I am really enjoying it. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: blue;">Well, enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Much love to you!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: blue;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: blue;">-Blessings-</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

This was for my design class FND112 with Instructor Katrencik. It started out a little tough, but I managed to pull through with a 95 = A!!!!!</span><br />
<br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: magenta;">Our assignment was to write a proposal (to a certain audience) and create a composition to support it. So I asked my sister Chamel was it okay to use her photo for my final project. After getting the okay, I began my journey on the challenges set before me. Our instructor gave you certain criteria each week to prepare us for the final. For example: only use black and white, no wording. Create new layers adding warm, monochromatic, neutral, etc tones. Remove the background and add a certain color listed. The list goes on. After much brain storming, I wanted to convey the message of "Hope-Life Inside the NICU" </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: magenta;">While visiting my sister and nephew in Nashville, I saw another mother looking SOOOOO depressed and with my sister's strength and faith in God, I created my final project. I want to ensure mothers along with their families know there is HOPE inside the NICU. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: magenta;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: magenta;">**Chamel, thanks again for allowing me to show your face to the world. God is truly moving through you to touch someone's life. God bless**</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

We go through situations that are unfair. I know people who were raised in an unhealthy environment. Their parents had issues, and now it's making it much more difficult on them.<br />
<br />
But here is what I've learned: when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He gives you a new heart. In other words, your blood line changes. No longer are you subject to your earthly heritage, you become subject to your heavenly heritage! His spiritual blessing always overrides the curse in the natural realm. When you understand who you are and what God has already done, then no matter what someone else has done, no matter how unfair it was, no matter how you were raised, you won't get bitter. You won't live with a chip on your shoulder. You realize that nothing can stop you from fulfilling your God-given destiny!<br />
<br />
Today, remember you came from Almighty God. He gave you life. When you choose Him, you are choosing your heavenly heritage of blessing and eternal, abundant life!</span></span></h6><div style="color: #3f4f55; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; margin-bottom: 15px;"><br />

Some people who need to lose weight for their health don't recognize it, while others who don't need to lose weight want to get thinner for cosmetic reasons. We understand that in some ways your weight is different from, for example, your cholesterol level or your blood pressure, because you can't see what these are by looking at someone. Many patients have had health care providers who approached their weight in a less-than-sensitive or helpful manner. Some patients may have had health care encounters in which they felt blamed, but not helped. Successful weight management is a long-term challenge.<br />
Weight can affect a person's self-esteem. Excess weight is highly visible and evokes some powerful reactions, however unfairly, from other people and from the people who carry the excess weight. The amount of weight loss needed to improve your health may be much less than you wish to lose, when you consider how you evaluate your weight. Research has shown that your health can be greatly improved by a loss of 5–10 percent of your starting weight. That doesn't mean you have to stop there, but it does mean that an initial goal of losing 5–10 percent of your starting weight is both realistic and valuable.<br />
<h2>Behaviors That Will Help You Lose Weight and Maintain It</h2><strong>Set the Right Goals</strong><br />
Setting the right goals is an important first step. Most people trying to lose weight focus on just that one goal: weight loss. However, the most productive areas to focus on are the dietary and physical activity changes that will lead to long-term weight change. Successful weight managers are those who select two or three goals at a time that are manageable. <br />
Useful goals should be (1) specific; (2) attainable (doable); and (3) forgiving (less than perfect). "Exercise more" is a great goal, but it's not specific. "Walk 5 miles every day" is specific and measurable, but is it doable if you're just starting out? "Walk 30 minutes every day" is more attainable, but what happens if you're held up at work one day and there's a thunderstorm during your walking time another day? "Walk 30 minutes, 5 days each week" is specific, doable, and forgiving. In short, a great goal!<br />
<h2>Nothing Succeeds Like Success</h2>Shaping is a behavioral technique in which you select a series of short-term goals that get closer and closer to the ultimate goal (e.g., an initial reduction of fat intake from 40 percent of calories to 35 percent of calories, and later to 30 percent). It is based on the concept that "nothing succeeds like success." Shaping uses two important behavioral principles: (1) consecutive goals that move you ahead in small steps are the best way to reach a distant point; and (2) consecutive rewards keep the overall effort invigorated.<br />
<h2>Reward Success (But Not With Food)</h2>An effective reward is something that is desirable, timely, and dependent on meeting your goal. The rewards you choose may be material (e.g., a movie or music CD, or a payment toward buying a more costly item) or an act of self-kindness (e.g., an afternoon off from work or just an hour of quiet time away from family). Frequent small rewards, earned for meeting smaller goals, are more effective than bigger rewards that require a long, difficult effort.<br />
<h2>Balance Your Food Checkbook</h2>"Self-monitoring" refers to observing and recording some aspect of your behavior, such as calorie intake, servings of fruits and vegetables, amount of physical activity, etc., or an outcome of these behaviors, such as weight. Self-monitoring of a behavior can be used at times when you're not sure how you're doing, and at times when you want the behavior to improve. Self-monitoring of a behavior usually moves you closer to the desired direction and can produce "real-time" records for review by you and your health care provider. For example, keeping a record of your physical activity can let you and your provider know quickly how you're doing. When the record shows that your activity is increasing, you'll be encouraged to keep it up. Some patients find that specific self-monitoring forms make it easier, while others prefer to use their own recording system.<br />
While you may or may not wish to weigh yourself frequently while losing weight, regular monitoring of your weight will be essential to help you maintain your lower weight. When keeping a record of your weight, a graph may be more informative than a list of your weights. When weighing yourself and keeping a weight graph or table, however, remember that one day's diet and exercise patterns won't have a measurable effect on your weight the next day. Today's weight is not a true measure of how well you followed your program yesterday, because your body's water weight will change from day to day, and water changes are often the result of things that have nothing to do with your weight-management efforts.<br />
<div> <div> </div></div><h2>Avoid a Chain Reaction</h2>Stimulus (cue) control involves learning what social or environmental cues seem to encourage undesired eating, and then changing those cues. For example, you may learn from reflection or from self-monitoring records that you're more likely to overeat while watching television, or whenever treats are on display by the office coffee pot, or when around a certain friend. You might then try to change the situation, such as by separating the association of eating from the cue (don't eat while watching television), avoiding or eliminating the cue (leave the coffee room immediately after pouring coffee), or changing the circumstances surrounding the cue (plan to meet your friend in a nonfood setting). In general, visible and reachable food items are often cues for unplanned eating.<br />
<h2>Get the Fullness Message</h2>Changing the way you go about eating can make it easier to eat less without feeling deprived. It takes 15 or more minutes for your brain to get the message that you've been fed. Eating slowly will help you feel satisfied. Eating lots of vegetables and fruits can make you feel fuller. Another trick is to use smaller plates so that moderate portions do not appear too small. Changing your eating schedule, or setting one, can be helpful, especially if you tend to skip, or delay, meals and overeat later.Tellyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00698778418906077481noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2639697659503825351.post-80503432234856087492011-11-11T16:03:00.000-08:002011-11-11T16:03:46.841-08:00Days 1, 2, and 3<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rOUOIAx_wlU/Tr22TXuAR6I/AAAAAAAAAJ4/MvffRuT_KkA/s1600/296264_275103815846144_191311910892002_902202_933606425_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="282" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rOUOIAx_wlU/Tr22TXuAR6I/AAAAAAAAAJ4/MvffRuT_KkA/s320/296264_275103815846144_191311910892002_902202_933606425_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: blue;">Shaun T has me so pumped and ready to workout!!! Woot Woot. I must admit, my body is tired and a little more, but that's to be expected. The workout was only 25 minutes and I was sweating like I worked out for an hour. When I see sweat, I get motivated. ;-) Days 1, 2, and 3, I worked on "Hips, Buns, and Thighs" I want to look cute in my jean....-Shaun T. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: blue;">I know this is only the beginning and I have a long way to go, but I'm in this for the long haul. Not just to loose weight, but to stay fit and run a marathon one day!!!! I'm tired of waiting on others to help me get off the couch. I had to prepare myself MENTALLY to get to this point. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">**I plan to create a journal of my food intake. Currently, I'm not on a strict diet. Simply because I'm trying to start with step 1: working out on a regular basis. After that I will start with the body cleansing.**</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: blue;">Well, I'm on to do a little school work and relax with the Hubster. Enjoy your weekend!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
